Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG, as known widely across the Americas) or Fast-moving Consumer Goods (FMCG, as known widely across Europe and Asia-Pacific) are products that are sold at a quick pace at relatively low costs. It constitutes an industry that touches every aspect of human life; from the time we wake up till the time we go to sleep, CPGs form the basis of our lives. Examples of such products include non-durable household goods such as packaged foods, beverages, toiletries, over-the-counter drugs and other consumables. The sector represents the 4th largest industry worldwide and is mainly characterized as an industry that supplies low-cost products in constant high demand. FMCG or CPG is often cited as a "low margin, high volume" game. This course gives the detailed explanation about the what, why and how of CPG industry apart from focusing on the key challenges and the latest trends which are disrupting the CPG market.
