Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG, as known widely across the Americas) or Fast-moving Consumer Goods (FMCG, as known widely across Europe and Asia-Pacific) are products that are sold at a quick pace at relatively low costs. It constitutes an industry that touches every aspect of human life; from the time we wake up till the time we go to sleep, CPGs form the basis of our lives. Examples of such products include non-durable household goods such as packaged foods, beverages, toiletries, over-the-counter drugs and other consumables. The sector represents the 4th largest industry worldwide and is mainly characterized as an industry that supplies low-cost products in constant high demand. FMCG or CPG is often cited as a "low margin, high volume" game.
